This program takes an unusual route to Polynesia –via Chile and Easter Island. You will have the opportunity to visit some of the most magical places on the planet – the Atacama Desert (the driest desert in the world), the mystical Easter Island, and Polynesia. The perfect itinerary for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway.
PROGRAM
Day 01 YOUR COUNTRY - SANTIAGO, CHILE
Flight to Chile (Flight not included)
Day 02 WELCOME TO SANTIAGO
Morning pick-up from Santiago Airport. Transfer to your hotel. Tour of the city, starting in the “Barrio” (quarter) El Golf, where you see examples of the city’s avant-garde architecture. After this you visit the Barrio Cívico which contains the government buildings and the cultural center. From here you take a walk through the main streets of the city center towards the main square, “Plaza de Armas,” where you will be able to admire the splendor of the buildings that surround the square: La Catedral, El Correo, IIlustre Municipalidad de Santiago, etc. The tour then takes you to the Barrio Bella Vista, famous for its lively night life. Return and overnight stay at the 4-star Atton Hotel or a similar hotel of the same category.
Day 03 SANTIAGO - CALAMA - SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA
Breakfast at the hotel. Flight to Calama. Pick up from Loa Airport. Meet with the guide from the Alto Atacama Hotel and transfer across the desert to San Pedro de Atacama. Check-in to the Alto Atacama Hotel. Half day tour. Overnight stay. (B, L, D)
HOTEL ALTO ATACAMA 3 nights/4days
In September 2007 the Alto Atacama, a luxurious hotel situated only 3km from San Pedro de Atacama, opened its doors to the public. Its architecture blends into the majestic landscape of the surrounding the Cordillera de Sal. The hotel has 32 rooms, but is projected to have 80 in the future. All the rooms have ceiling fans, private terraces, and large bathrooms with matico soap! And they don’t have telephones or televisions! A dream for those who need to switch off and unwind.
Among other things it has to offer, the hotel has six open air swimming pools, a spa, two jacuzzis, an enchanting “quincho” (barbecue) and a restaurant with fusion cooking of the highest quality.
The hotel also offers a choice from a number of excursions – both half day and full day – to the salt flats, the geysers, or the traditional Atacaman villages. Trips can be taken in car, bike, horseback, or on foot – and all are accompanied by an expert guide. All meals, drinks, and appetizers are included. (B, L, D)
Day 06 SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - CALAMA - SANTIAGO
Transfer to Calama Airport for the return flight (in the late afternoon) to Santiago. Arrive and check-in to the 4-star Airport Holiday Inn (B, L)
Day 07 SANTIAGO – EASTER ISLAND
Breakfast at the hotel. Flight to Easter Island. Pick up from Rapa Nui Airport with garlands of flowers. Transfer to the 5-star Hanga Roa Hotel or an alternative hotel of the same category. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B)
Day 08 RANO RARAKU - ANAKENA
First stop is the Haga Te’e Bay on the south of the island – where you will see your first “Ahu” – one of the enormous stone platforms built to support the Moai. The Vaihu Ahu is an unrestored platform. The tour continues towards the Ahu Akahanga Region where legend has it that the famous King Hotu Matua is buried at one side of the Ahu. The tour takes in several other important cultural sites on the Island – for example Rano Raraku – where 900 statues have been sculpted – 397 of them lying horizontally on the ground. We will also visit the Tongariki Ahu, restored in 1995, a platform the holds 15 Moai. We then visit the “Ombligo del Mundo" (Belly button of the world), and the Te Pito Kura Ahu. Our final stop for the day is Anakena Beach and its two restored platforms, Ahu Nau Nau and Ahu Ature Huki. From this magical spot we can admire the waters of the Pacific Ocean and rest for a while in the shade of the palm trees. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the 5-star Hanga Roa Hotel or a similar hotel of the same category.
Day 09 FREE DAY ON RAPA NUI
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day with rental jeep – so you can get to know the island independently. Overnight stay at the Altiplanico Hotel or a similar hotel of the same category. (B)
Day 10 FREE DAY ON RAPA NUI

Day 10 EASTER ISLAND - PAPEETE
Breakfast at the hotel. Half-day tour. The tour takes you up to Rano Kau, a dormant volcano from where you can take in the beauty of the whole Island. You can see the coast, the volcanoes, and the village of Hanga Roa. We can also admire the volcano’s crater, with its lagoon. We then start to make our way back to the hotel, stopping off at the traditional ceremonial village of Orongo, where in the past they used to host the Tangata Manu (Bird Man) ceremony. We then visit the Vinapu Ahu with its pre-incan style of architecture. The tour ends in the Ana Kai Tangata Cave where you can see some traditional rock paintings.
BORA BORA - MOOREA 8 nights/9 days
An exclusive stay on the most beautiful islands of French Polynesia. Overnight stay and breakfast in Tahiti. 3 nights in Moorea and 4 nights in Bora Bora (room with sea view). This stay includes transfers between the islands, the hotels, and the airport. Breakfast is included with all the rooms. English support during your stay, welcome with garlands of flowers, and traditional goodbye with shell necklaces are also provided.
Excursion in jeep: safari in comfortable 4x4 to the heart of Moorea. Visit the historic and archaeological sites of the island and admire the marvelous landscapes.
Excursion in catamaran: a trip on the Moorea Lagoon in catamaran – visit to 2 bays where you can go snorkeling amongst the coral reefs.
Day 19 PAPEETE - SANTIAGO
Transfer to Papeete Airport. Flight to Santiago. Pick up from the airport and transfer to the Atton Hotel or a similar hotel of the same category. (B)
Day 20 SANTIAGO - YOUR COUNTRY
